We had the most incredible weekend away here in The Netherlands and I had to share it on here after all of the messages I received over on Instagram & Tiktok. We live in Rotterdam city which we love but after months in and out of lock down plus living in a busy area we were craving some fresh air & down time. I found the most perfect property in Burgh-Haamstede, Zeeland & without researching it (v unusual for me) I booked it within seconds.
We stayed in steurshoeve.nl from Friday to Sunday & could not have been more impressed with the setting, property & service. Saskia who is the owner went above and beyond to make sure our stay was everything we expected & more! The breakfast was divine, we booked into the sauna which was located in the garden & enjoyed takeaways from the local restaurants nearby for dinner. If you are living in The Netherlands or paying a visit in the future this place is a must! I have also linked my Instagram where you can see more clips of our stay which are saved in my highlights.
Burgh- Haamstede is such a beautiful place to visit any time of year, we went for a long walk on the beach, visited the towns nearby & stopped off at a well known local bakery Bakkerij Sonnemans for some treats...you need to try their "bolus" if you do pay a visit.
